A Valencia truck accident involving four vehicles leaves three people injured. The incident took place at approximately 11:15 AM on Friday morning, July 29, 2010, along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, approximately 25 miles north of Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident involved two cars and two big rigs. The wreck left three people injured. One of the victims became trapped in a car that was wedged between the two semis, reported Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Matt Levesque. Rescue crews transported the unidentified victim to a local hospital where the person was reported as suffering critical injuries.
There were no other details provided concerning the accident and as to what may have caused the four-vehicle crash. CHP Officer Kelly Gonzalez indicated that the crash caused oil to spill across the northbound lanes. Two of the northbound lanes were closed for several hours as crews cleaned up the accident scene.
The Valencia truck accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Anyone with information concerning the wreck has been asked to contact the California Highway Patrol.
This is a terrible incident and we wish all the victims a quick recovery.
