The Los Angeles Times reports that the Santa Monica police are still searching for clues in the case of Melissa Del-Aguila, who died on June 18, 2011 after being struck by a taxi cab.
Del-Aguila, 24, was a resident of West Los Angeles, but was celebrating her recent graduation from UCLA with friends in Santa Monica. She was struck by a taxi in the westbound lanes of the 2400 block of Wiltshire Boulevard near Douglas Park. Del-Aguila was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The police are trying to determine how the young woman got to Santa Monica in the first place.
