A fatal California car accident involving a big rig and a pickup truck took the life of a six-year-old Southern California girl early this month.
The accident occurred on Highway 99 north of Delano, after the truck she was riding in was stuck by a tractor trailer. The truck was pulling a coach trailer, which started to sway after the driver of the truck tried to pass the big rig. The pickup and trailer jack-knifed and rolled into the path of the semi, causing the collision. The name of the girl has not been released.
Our hearts go out to the family of the little girl who lost her life, and we urge drivers to be extra cautious while out on the roads this summer.
