Accidents Reported in Southern California

Santa Clarita Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Cop

A Santa Clarita motorcycle accident involving two vehicles claims the life of an off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy after the two vehicles collide. The incident took place at approximately 6:30 PM on Thursday evening, April 29, 2010, at McBean Parkway and Arroyo Park Drive.

According to reports, the deputy, 27-year-old Cameron Glover, was riding his motorcycle when he lost control of the bike and slammed into another vehicle. Rescue crews transported Glover to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the two-vehicle wreck.

It was unclear as to whether the driver of the second vehicle had any passengers in the vehicle or if there were any other injuries as a result of the crash.

Unfortunately, Glover leaves behind a wife who is seven months pregnant. Glover was on the force for approximately four years when the accident occurred and had only been in the Santa Clarita area for two years.

The fatal Santa Clarita motorcycle accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have not yet determined what caused the fatal crash.

This is a terrible accident and our thoughts and condolences go out to all of those who have been affected by this tragedy.
