San Juan Capistrano Car Accident Involves 3 Vehicles

A San Juan Capistrano car accident involving three vehicles leaves Southern California commuters to deal with heavy traffic. The incident took place at approximately 10:15 AM on Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, along the busy 5 freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they responded to a three-vehicle accident that occurred on the southbound 5 freeway near the Cristianitos Road exit. The car accident reportedly involved a white Chevrolet, a red Mercedes sport utility vehicle and a white Mercedes. The identities of the drivers were not made known.
It was unclear as to whether anyone was injured as a result of the multi-vehicle collision. However, at least one ambulance was reported at the scene.
According to reports, the accident forced the closure of the two right-hand lanes for at least an hour. Traffic was backed up to the Pacific Coast Highway exit in Dana Point, as emergency crews remove the cars and cleared debris from the accident scene.
The San Juan Capistrano auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The cause of the accident was not made available.
Accidents along busy Southern California freeways can be serious. We hope that no one was seriously injured in the wreck.
