Accidents Reported in Southern California

Los Angeles Auto Accident Involves a Metro Bus and a Truck

A Los Angeles car accident involving a metro bus and a truck sends at least nine people to the hospital after the two vehicles collide in the downtown area. The incident took place at approximately 12:15 AM on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2010, at the intersection of Hill Street and Temple Street.

According to officials, the metro bus was traveling northbound on Hill Street when it collided with a truck traveling eastbound on Temple Street. The force of the impact sent the bus into a traffic pole.

Reports indicate that there were at least 12 people on the bus at the time of the accident. Rescue crews transported at least nine people, including the truck driver, to local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Fortunately, all of the injuries were considered minor.

The Los Angeles auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have not yet determined what caused the accident or who was at fault. However, both drivers claim that they had the green light.
