Accidents Reported in Southern California

Hollywood Car Accident Leaves Four Injured

A Hollywood car accident involving nine vehicles leaves four people with injuries. The incident took place at approximately 2:00 AM on Sunday morning, July 25, 2010, along the Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Cahuenga Pass.

According to the California Highway Patrol, nine vehicles were involved in a multi-car collision along the southbound 101 near the Cahuenga Boulevard exit. It was unclear as to what caused the accident, however, the CHP reported than only three vehicles suffered damage.

Investigators believe that the incident started as a two-vehicle wreck. They have also indicated that a pedestrian may have been involved in the accident.

The incident left four people with injuries. Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Rick McClure indicated that all of the injuries appeared to be minor. The identities of those involved were not immediately made known.

Early morning commuters were inconvenienced for several hours as investigators shut down all southbound lanes to clear the multi-vehicle wreck and to investigate the incident.

The early morning Hollywood auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Investigators have yet determined who was at fault or what may have caused the nine vehicles to collide.
