Edmunds Releases List of Tips for Teens on Cars and Driving

Posted on Oct 12, 2011

Featuring more than just the typical reminders of never texting behind the wheel, Edmunds.com just released a list of 10 things that teens should know about cars and driving.

The list features practical advice about all aspects of driving, including problems involving the car itself. One tip that the Southern California car accident lawyers at Steinberg Spencer found particularly interesting was, "What to do when you're stopped by a police officer." The article instructs teens to roll down the window, keep your hands visible, and save the arguing for court and not with the cop. Some teens may be too concerned with the anxiety of being pulled over to know what to do, which is why the list is helpful to both parents and teens.

Other tips include information on what to do in the event of a flat tire, if the "check engine" light comes on, if a friend is about to drive under the influence, and even contains information on buying a new car.

The article also addresses the issues of road rage and handling a car accident.

If you or your teen has been injured in an auto accident, you need information. Order your free copy of Steinberg Spencer's book, The Seven Biggest Mistakes that Can Ruin Your California Injury Case, by calling 800.989.6385, or fill out our online form for a free case evaluation.
