Costa Mesa Car Accident Leaves One Injured

A Costa Mesa car accident involving three vehicles leaves a pregnant woman injured after the car she was riding in loses control and rolls over. The incident took place at approximately 12:15 PM on Friday afternoon, August 6, 2010, along the San Diego (405) Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of a silver Honda Civic was weaving in and out of traffic when the driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the rear of a silver Toyota Corolla. The force of the impact caused the Toyota to roll over several times. A Mini Cooper was also reported as hitting the Toyota.
Rescue crews transported a passenger in the Corolla to Western Medical Center where she was treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Officials report that the woman was six months pregnant. She is expected to be fine. There were no other injuries reported.
The Costa Mesa auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have not made any arrests or issued any citations as of yet. Anyone with information concerning the wreck has been asked to contact CHP Officer Vincenzo Alvarez at (714) 567-6000.
