Camarillo Motorcycle Accident Claims the Life on Biker

A Camarillo motorcycle accident involving a van claims the life of a motorcyclist after he reportedly runs a stop sign. The incident took place at approximately 6:45 PM on Friday evening, November 5, 2010, along Pleasant Valley Road.

According to officials, witnesses report that a motorcyclist traveling around 55 to 60 mph ran a stop sign along Pleasant Valley Road at East 5th Street and plowed into a van. The van was in process of making a left turn at the time.

Rescue crews transported the unidentified motorcyclist to Los Robles Regional Hospital in Thousand Oaks. He was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the two-vehicle crash. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Fortunately, the unidentified driver of the van did not sustain any injuries as a result of the two-vehicle crash. The extent of the damage to the van was not immediately made known.

The fatal Camarillo motorcycle crash is still under investigation by local authorities. Investigators indicated that they were unclear as to whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
