According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle traveling eastbound on State Route 76 near Magee Road slammed into the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Reports indicate that the pickup truck was stopped in traffic.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Martin Davidoff, 60, of Riverside County. Rescue crews transported Davidoff to UCSD Medical Center where he was treated for severe injuries as a result of the crash. Officials report that he suffered burns over the majority of his body.
