A: When you are making a left run, you are required to wait until it is safe to complete the turn. For this reason, there is a good chance that you could be liable.
While the driver who is making the left turn is generally liable in a car accident, there are some exceptions. For example, if the vehicle that was traveling straight in the opposite direction was going too fast or ran a red light, you might not be to blame for the accident.
